National Association of the Remodeling Industry
Deciding to remodel your home is a big decision. Outside of buying your home, it may be the single largest investment you make. It is critical knowing that the remodeling contractor you choose is a full-time, dedicated remodeling professional. Every Kitchen Solver is or uses the services of a NARI certified professional (CKBR-Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler). NARI's certification program offers this assurance through its extensive screening and testing process. Only full-time, professional remodeling contractors are eligible for certification by NARI. Be assured that any time you hire a NARI certified remodeling contractor, you hired an individual who has made a strong commitment to the professionalism of the remodeling industry and to his or her own business. And because remodelers are not eligible for certification until they have been actively involved in the remodeling industry for at least five years, you know that the NARI certified remodeling professional you hire has developed the experience and skills that can only be gained through extensive hands-on practice.
National Kitchen & Bath Association
The NKBA has been the heart of the kitchen and bath industry for more than 45 years. NKBA's mission is to enhance member success and excellence, promote professionalism and ethical business practices, and provide leadership and direction for the industry. Every Kitchen Solver has access to NKBA's Professional Resource Library. Representing the definitive knowledge and professional experience of leading authorities, the nine volumes of the NKBA's Professional Resource Library is recognized and serves as the core body of knowledge for the kitchen and bath industry.
In addition to NKBA's Professional Resource Library, your Kitchen Solver also uses NKBA's Kitchen and Bath Design Guidelines when planning your kitchen. These flexible and easy-to-understand guidelines were developed under the guidance of the NKBA by a committee of professionals. The committee completed in-depth historical reviews of planning guidelines dating back to 1920. The guidelines reflect a composite of the historical review, current industry environment, future trends, consumer lifestyles, new research, new building codes, and current industry practices; as well as a Kitchen Storage Research Project conducted by Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
The Association also serves as a content advisor and information source for magazines, newspapers, radio shows and television programs.
